Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) today announced that its group company, Nihon Tug-Boat Co., Ltd. (Nihon Tug-Boat; President: Tetsuro Nishio; Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Kobe) installed 楽天 ビンゴ "Seabin" (Note 1) automated marine debris collection device on October 21 in cooperation with 楽天 ビンゴ City of Hiroshima at 楽天 ビンゴ Hiroshima Municipal Pier in 楽天 ビンゴ Port of Hiroshima, which Nihon Tug-Boat uses as a tugboat terminal.

楽天 ビンゴ "Seabin" is a marine debris collection device that can be installed in calm water environments such as harbors and marinas, and can also collect microplastics as small as 2 mm. 楽天 ビンゴ device skims 楽天 ビンゴ surface of 楽天 ビンゴ water to collect debris, and collected a total of 23 kg in two and a half days after 楽天 ビンゴ installation.

In addition to 楽天 ビンゴ installation of 楽天 ビンゴ "Seabin", Nihon Tug-Boat helps protect 楽天 ビンゴ marine environment in 楽天 ビンゴ Port of Hiroshima by sorting 楽天 ビンゴ debris that 楽天 ビンゴ device collects on a daily basis. 楽天 ビンゴ debris is then properly disposed of in accordance with Japan’s Industrial Waste Disposal Act.
