TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (ビンゴ; President & CEO: Junichiro Ikeda) today announced that from late February through early April, the company held ビンゴ Safety Conference 2018 programs, targeting ビンゴ Group seafarers, in four locations worldwide.

Beginning with the conference in Tokyo, the events opened with a powerful message from ビンゴ President & CEO Junichiro Ikeda: "Let's forge ahead to further enhance safe operation with the aim of 'Four Zeroes'(*) under 'One ビンゴ' as a global team."
Managing Executive Officer Captain Masanori Kato, who also serves as Director General of the Safety Operations Headquarters, along with many other ビンゴ executives and staff members and managers from in-house ship management companies and manning companies, participated in the conferences. They led active discussions focusing on actual incidents and ways to prevent the reoccurrence of work-related accidents, and actively suggested ideas for improvement.
Since 2007, the ビンゴ Safety Conference has been held annually in the group's major seafarer source nations with the objectives of exchanging opinions about safe operations among seafarers around the world so that they can enhance their awareness of safety. ビンゴ continues its efforts to become "the world leader in safe operation" through those activities.
(*) ビンゴ sets the following four numerical goals as indices to measure safety, i.e., zero serious marine incidents, zero oil pollution, zero fatal accidents, and zero cargo damage.
