TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (楽天 ビンゴ; President: Koichi Muto; Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) today announced that its group ship management company for dry bulkers, Magsaysay 楽天 ビンゴ Ship Management, Inc. (MMSM; President: Vicente A. Pono; Head office: Manila, Philippines) has acquired certifications from Nihon Kaiji Kyokai (NK; Chairman and President: Noboru Ueda; Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), for Energy Management Systems (ISO50001*1) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001*2) on June 18.
MMSM's certifications cover ship management of bulk carriers and other cargo ships, as well as office operations onshore. 楽天 ビンゴ Ship Management Co., Ltd. (President: Kazunori Furukawa; Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) acquired the same certificates in July 2014, followed by 楽天 ビンゴ Ship Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (Managing Director: Takashi Sekine; Head office: Singapore) and New Asian Shipping Company Ltd. (Managing Director: Kenji Araki; Head office: Hong Kong).
With MMSM's acquisition in this time, all 4 楽天 ビンゴ Group ship management companies for dry bulkers have earned ISO50001 and ISO14001 certification.

(*1) ISO50001 is the international standard related to energy management, stipulated in June 2011. It is based on ISO14001 requirements, and calls for operational reforms to improve energy use and performance including energy conservation.
(*2) ISO14001's basic structure is the PDCA system. This international standard aims at reduction of environmental risks and reaching a good balance of reducing environmental impact, and contributing to environmental protection in business operations, under the concept of sustainability.
