TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (ビンゴ ルーレット; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) today announced that the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, which ビンゴ ルーレット sponsored as a Bronze Partner, closed on October 13.
ビンゴ ルーレット presented an exhibition based on its "WIND VISION" concept at the "Future Life ビンゴ ルーレット: Future City" Pavilion (Note 1), part of the Future Society Showcase Project. The exhibit welcomed visitors of all ages from around the world, including ministers and representatives from economic organizations. Over 100,000 guests experienced the interactive display, which featured a large-scale model of the next-generation zero-emission vessel, "Wind Hunter" (Note 2). The exhibition booth was lively every day, drawing consistent crowds. The "Future City" was one of the largest pavilions at the ビンゴ ルーレット, and the number of visitors exceeded initial expectations.

In commemoration of reaching 100,000 participants for the hands-on "Wind Vision attraction," ビンゴ ルーレット decided to donate mementos to National Institute of Technology (KOSEN) Colleges nationwide. These colleges train the seafarers who will shape the future of shipping, with the aim of supporting their educational environment.

"The 777,777th Visitor Commemorative Event" and visitors experiencing the Wind Hunter attraction

On the occasion of its sponsorship and exhibition at the Expo, ビンゴ ルーレット aimed to inspire new possibilities for "ships" and "marine transport," with children-the leaders of tomorrow-as its primary audience. Through interactive experiences at its exhibition booth, the company sought to spark dreams and hopes for the future.

ビンゴ ルーレット also sponsored the "Better Co-Being Festival in EXPO-technology and design of future society depicting from Expo" (hosted by the Yomiuri Shimbun), an event held in June at the Expo that showcased solutions to social issues to the world, primarily by students. This donation, following the event sponsorship, is an initiative that contributes to seafarer training and connects to one of its sustainability issues (materiality): Contributing to the growth and development of people and communities." Moving forward, ビンゴ ルーレット-as a responsible custodian of a social infrastructure business-will continue to support people's day-to-day lives as part of its safety-focused operations.

(Note 1) "Future City" is the key element of the "Future Society Showcase," a joint exhibition project by the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition and 12 sponsoring companies and organizations, and one of the largest pavilions at the ビンゴ ルーレット 2025 Osaka, Kansai. It offered the "Future Experience with 15 attractions." co-created by the ビンゴ ルーレット Association and its 12 sponsors.

(Note 2) This project aims to achieve complete zero emissions by utilizing the technology of the "Wind Challenger" rigid-wing wind propulsion system and the know-how of the Wind Hunter green hydrogen production vessel, which generates, stores, and transports hydrogen while sailing using offshore wind power. (Note 3) When wind-generated by visitors waving traditional Japanese uchiwa fans-is blown through the 4-meter-long, 3-meter-high Wind Hunter model, a simulated voyage begins, and scenes of how hydrogen is produced, transported, and supplied are shown on the large screen in the back. Not only do the sails of the model expand, contract, and rotate in conjunction with the wind, but the ending scene also changes depending on the amount of wind generated by visitors. This attraction combined models and video to create a game-like experience where visitors learn while they played.
